7 duas
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
La ilaha illallahul-'Adhimul-Halim, la ilaha illallah rabbul-'Arshil-'Adhim, la ilaha illallah rabbus-samawati wa rabbul-ardi wa rabbul-'Arshil-Karim
"None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, the Most Great, the Most Forbearing. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the Earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne."
لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minadh-dhalimin
"There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers. (No Muslim ever calls upon Allah with this dua but Allah answers it.)"
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal-wakeel
"Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. Ibrahim (AS) said this when thrown in the fire; Muhammad (SAW) said it at the Battle of Uhud."
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ، ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ، ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ، نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ...
Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatika, nasiyati biyadik, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uk...
"O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just... (full dua: the Prophet said Allah will replace your grief with joy)"
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala ali Muhammad
"O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad. Whoever is preoccupied by something and remembers to send salawat on the Prophet, Allah will suffice him in whatever concerns him."
إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ، اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Allahumma ajurni fi musibati wa akhlif li khayran minha
"Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. O Allah, reward me in this calamity and replace it with something better."
رَبِّ إِنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Rabbi inni massaniyad-durru wa anta arhamur-rahimin
"My Lord, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful. (Dua of Prophet Ayyub (AS) when he was afflicted with illness)"
